They are just too cute, so I had to share them with you all! I would love to hang a pride themed cross stitch pattern in my home, so I went searching on Etsy for designs that I liked. I have yet to stitch up a sample, but I will share whenever I do 🙂 Also, I’ve added some small flower motifs, in contrast with the inner city concrete!įinished on 11/inch aida cloth, it turns out to be 5×5 inches! The borders are in a vintage subway tile pattern, since the image is from New York City. The graffiti is photographed in black & white, whereas my design is done is primary pride colors. My design is meant to compliment and contrast with the original graffiti. I took the “platitude” from old graffiti: Photo: “GAY IS GOOD” - “GAY IS GREAT,” Washington Square Arch, Washington Square Park, New York City, 1970.
It was drawn on graph paper, and I translated it to a cleaner chart on Stitch Fiddle. I am very proud of this, as it’s the first chart I’ve ever made completely from scratch.
There were some good ones, like I listed in my previous post, but I wanted to put my own together! I have been envisioning a gallery wall full of embroidery like this for ages, and a pride-themed one would be so cute.Įtsy has some really great cross stitch patterns, so I went in search of some cute pride-themed charts.
